Each plan names the Vietnamese network it runs on: Viettel, VinaPhone or MobiFone. A plan sold under another name shows its network in brackets, and your phone shows that network’s name once it connects.

Questions about eSIM in Vietnam

What is the best eSIM for Vietnam?

The one you can check before you pay: which Vietnamese network it runs on, the data and the days, whether it has calls or a number, the price with tax, and the refund rule. The plans here run on Viettel, VinaPhone or MobiFone, cost from US$5.88 with tax, and you get a full refund if they do not work and cannot be fixed.

How does a Vietnam eSIM work?

You install it at home on Wi-Fi and keep the line off until you land. After landing, you switch it on and choose it for mobile data; if it does not connect, turn on data roaming for the eSIM line. Your usual SIM stays in the phone.

Does Vietnam have eSIM?

Yes. Viettel, VinaPhone and MobiFone offer eSIM in Vietnam, and the plans on this site run on one of those three networks, named before you pay. You install the eSIM at home, before you fly.

Can I get a Vietnam eSIM with phone number?

Yes, some plans include a Vietnamese phone number or calls, and each plan says which before you pay. Other plans are data only: your own number stays on your home SIM, so calls and texts keep arriving there either way.

Do I need a Vietnam SIM card at the airport?

No, if the eSIM is installed before you fly. A SIM card is bought after landing, at a counter or a shop; the eSIM is bought online, with nothing to collect. If you want a Vietnamese number, some plans include one, so check the plan before you pay.

Is my phone eSIM compatible?

Type *#06# and read the screen: an EID means the phone has an eSIM. It also has to be unlocked, not tied to the carrier that sold it. Check before buying: a working eSIM is not refunded because a phone cannot install it.

How to install eSIM on iPhone?

Open your order page on another screen and scan the QR code: on an iPhone, go to Settings, Cellular, Add eSIM. Install at home on Wi-Fi, within 30 days of buying, and keep the line switched off until you land.

How to install eSIM on Android?

In the SIM settings, add an eSIM and scan the QR code from your order page: Connections, SIM manager on Samsung; Network & internet, SIMs on Pixel. Install at home on Wi-Fi, within 30 days of buying.

Why is my eSIM not working?

Check in order: the eSIM line is on, it is chosen for mobile data, airplane mode has been switched off and on, and data roaming is on for the line if it still will not connect. The not connecting guide walks through the checks; if nothing works, write to the store's support while you are in Vietnam.

What is Local SIM Vietnam?

A site about getting online in Vietnam, run by LuKas Holdings sp. z o.o. in Warsaw. It shows eSIM plans for Vietnam, which you buy on the same company's store for Vietnam and Asia.

Can I get a refund on a Vietnam eSIM?

A full refund if the eSIM does not work and cannot be fixed. A working eSIM is not refunded, installed or not. Ask the store's support while you are in Vietnam, with your order page link.

Still stuck?

Orders, QR codes and refunds are handled by VietSIM support. Write with the link to your order page and your phone model.
