Da Nang airport eSIM (DAD): land online
Buses to the city and to Hoi An leave from Da Nang's arrivals kerb. With the eSIM on, the first ride and the first map are already working.
- DAD
- T1 domestic, T2 international
- Buses at the arrivals kerb
- Hoi An bus from the airport

The short answer
Install the eSIM at home before you fly to Da Nang (DAD) and switch it on after landing, with data roaming on for the eSIM line. The airport runs two terminals, T1 for domestic flights and T2 for international ones, and city buses, taxis and ride-hailing all pick up outside arrivals.

Practical notes

- Taxis and ride-hailingTaxis pick up outside arrivals in the second lane, past the fare chart at pillar 2; rideshare apps such as Grab and GoJek collect from pillar 3. Say which terminal you are at when you book.
- PayingThe airport lists money exchange among its services. You must also declare cash over 15 million dong or 5,000 US dollars at customs.
- When to goThe central coast takes its rain from October to December, and typhoons are possible from June to December; February to August is the drier half of the year.
Arrival, step by step (Da Nang airport)
Install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi before you fly, and keep the line switched off. After landing, turn off airplane mode, switch the eSIM line on, choose it for mobile data and turn on data roaming for that line only. Outside arrivals, the bus stop, the taxi lane and the rideshare stop all sit just outside the doors. If the phone does not connect, restart it once and work through the checks in the help pages one by one.
